03

You’re planning to move overseas, and are choosing between Spain and a few other countries (Portugal? Mexico? France?). So you want to gather the information about what a move to Spain would involve, so you can make a better decision between the different options.

You’re in the right place.

The Move to Spain Masterclass is a comprehensive course that will give you the knowledge, step-by-step roadmap and support to successfully relocate to Spain, and start living your ideal life in this wonderful country.

By the end of this course, you’ll have…

Hi, I’m James Blick…

In 2011 I moved to Spain on a whim. I’d fallen in love with a girl, and I wanted to experience her culture.

But I got so much more than I bargained for.

I fell head over heels for Spain and made it my mission to share my passion with others.

I founded Spain Revealed, the leading YouTube channel about Spain in English, and co-founded Devour Tours, now one of the world’s leading food tour companies.

But something was missing for me.

While helping tourists explore Spain authentically brings me joy, the pandemic made me realize I wanted to guide people in building their lives in Spain, just as I had.

As a former lawyer, a filmmaker, and a die-hard Spain enthusiast, the Move to Spain Masterclass allows me to use my unique skillset and experiences to assist others on their intricate journey to build their dream life in this beautiful country.

I can’t wait to help you too.

Two Ways To Join the Masterclass

Choose the right stream for you

The information you’ll have access to is the same in each stream. However, the Live Access stream includes LIVE “Ask Anything” calls with top ‘Move to Spain’ professionals, all hosted by James Blick.

Self Study Stream

Includes lifetime access to all course content, RECORDED access to the 9 x Zoom calls with top ‘Move to Spain’ experts, access to the private course community and lifetime access to the alumni community.

The key difference is this stream only includes recorded access to the Zoom Q&A calls. This means you can’t ask the experts specific questions (as you can in the Live Access stream).  But you can watch the call recordings the following day and see what others asked.

If you do want to speak to any of the experts, you can of course book time with them (and pay their fees, in this case).

This stream includes access to the private community and the alumni community so you can connect to other participants and build a support network for your move. However, it doesn’t include access to the live Zoom hangouts (hosted by James) with other participants. Note: Recorded access to the live community hangouts is not included.

Live Access Stream

The same as the Self Study stream but additionally includes LIVE ACCESS to all 9 “Ask Anything” Zoom calls with top ‘Move to Spain’ experts. This means you can ask top professionals questions about YOUR circumstances.

Plus this stream includes 3 LIVE Hangouts with fellow course participants moving to Spain to swap notes and share challenges.

All calls are hosted by James Blick.

Let me explain further:

The Live Access stream gives you the opportunity to ask top, ‘Move to Spain’ experts questions about your relocation plan. This includes experts in the areas of immigration, tax, real estate, renting, healthcare, financial planning, and more.

Important: You don’t need to be live on the calls to ask questions. If you can’t make the calls live but still have questions, you simply submit them in advance via a form, and James will ensure they’re answered. Then, you watch the recording the next day with the answers to your questions.

It’s like having a mini-consultation with each of these professionals, without having to book individual calls or pay their fees.

Plus, in this stream you’ll get more opportunities to connect live with the other course participants in 3 x live Zoom Hangouts. This enables you to take the community aspect of the course deeper where you can connect with other Live Access participants to share plans, ask each other questions and build deeper connections to help you in your move, and once you’re in Spain. Note: Due to the limitations of Zoom, these calls are not recorded.

James hosts all calls and provides insight and guidance throughout.

Regardless of the stream you choose, by the end of the course will feel prepared to make your move to Spain.

Here's what you'll get when you join today:

I’ve found that many “move to Spain” blogs and social media sites don’t consistently provide the accurate and real-world advice James delivers. Plus, the live portions of the course provide direct access to vetted immigration, healthcare, real estate experts, etc.

This summer, we went to Spain on a scouting trip and had the opportunity to meet up with some alumni who had already made the move. They had used the experts from the class to find apartments, get help with relocating and working through the required paperwork, and learning the language and customs of Spain.

Ellipse 6

The weekly zoom sessions gave us an opportunity to ask questions of experts who can help us in our move as well as meet other soon-to-be Expats. This course helped my husband and I engage in open and honest conversations about our desires and expectations for our move.

Burning questions your fellow Masterclass participants asked before enrolling...

This is the most common question we receive about the Move to Spain Masterclass. We understand. Perhaps you’re not planning to move to Spain for another 3-5 years, or you’re unsure if you’ll make the move at all.

However, here’s something to consider:

The process of relocating to another country often starts years in advance. It involves more than just obtaining a visa and transporting your belongings. As course participant Andrea put it, “In short, you don’t know what you don’t know.” Indeed, moving to a new country is a complex journey filled with unknowns.

We’ve found that our course participants plan to move to Spain anywhere from 6 months to 10 years in the future. Some need a couple of years to prepare their finances for the transition (certain investments may be incompatible with living abroad, so careful planning is crucial). Others require time to comprehend the intricate tax implications. Some participants realize they must reorganize their lives to qualify for a visa. Others decide to pursue an EU passport through a Spanish ancestor.

By enrolling in this course as early as possible, you’ll be able to devise a solid plan and identify potential roadblocks long before encountering them.

Remember, you’ll have lifetime access to the Move to Spain Masterclass. This means you can always revisit the material, including all future updates (we continually refresh the course content). Additionally, you’ll secure the current price (which may increase later).

So, in reality, it’s never too soon.

Many people enroll in this course even if they’re unsure about relocating to Spain (or whether they can). Perhaps you don’t know if moving is feasible or desirable, or you’re considering several different countries.

This course gives you the information you need to answer those questions.

Instead of letting uncertainties linger in your mind, the Move to Spain Masterclass provides the information you need to make an informed decision about whether relocating to Spain is right for you.

Upon purchasing the Move to Spain Masterclass, you gain lifetime access as long as I’m running the course (I have no plans to stop!). This means that even after the 8-week course concludes, you’ll still be able to access all the lessons, expert Q&A recordings, and bonuses.

Participants often revisit the material as their move approaches to refresh their knowledge about the process.

Lifetime access also includes any course updates. As immigration laws change, new visas become available, and relevant developments occur, we update the course accordingly. You’ll always have the most up-to-date information for your move.

Additionally, you gain lifetime access to the Spain Revealed Alumni Community, a private Facebook group where Masterclass alumni share tips, ask questions, and celebrate their arrival in Spain. It’s an invaluable resource and support network!

Note: Lifetime access does not include access to live or recorded expert Q&As sessions from past or future cohorts, only those from the current cohort. But of course you have lifetime access to all the recorded course lessons.

There are two ways to enrol in the Move to Spain Masterclass.

You can choose the Live Access stream, or the Self Study stream.

Both streams include lifetime access to the course content, access to the private course community and lifetime access to the alumni course community.

So let me explain how the streams differ:

The Live Access stream includes live access to all nine Q&A Zoom calls with ‘Move to Spain’ experts. This means you can ask the experts (e.g. immigration expert, real estate agent, healthcare expert, financial experts and more) questions that relate to your specific situation. Important: You don’t need to be live on the calls to ask questions. If you can’t make the calls live, but still have questions, you simply submit them in advance and James will make sure they’re answered. Then you watch the recording the next day with the answer. In short, this stream enables you to ask the experts specific questions about your move to Spain (whether it be related to immigration, tax, real estate, renting, healthcare, financial planning plus much more). It’s like having a little mini-consultation with each of these professionals.

Both streams includes access to the private course community and alumni community so you can connect to other participants and build a support network for your move. However, the Live Access stream takes this deeper with 3 x LIVE Zoom hangouts (hosted by James) with other Live Access participants where you can share plans, ask each other questions and build deeper connections to help you in your move, and once you’re in Spain. Note: Due to the limitations of Zoom, these calls are not recorded.

The Self Study stream includes all the course content as per the Live Access stream, but it doesn’t include live access to the Zoom Q&A calls and you’re not able to ask the experts specific questions. However, you do get the recording of each Q&A Zoom call the following day, so you can see the advice they gave others. Obviously, if you do want to speak to any of the experts, you can simply book time with to do so (and pay their fees, in this case). Note: Recorded access to the live community hangouts is not included.

Rest assured, regardless of the stream you choose, by the end of the course will feel prepared to make your move to Spain

I get it. We’re all really busy. You may be wondering if you can fit the course into your schedule, given work, family, and other obligations.

Each of the 8 modules contains 2-3 hours of video material per week, plus a 1-hour weekly expert Q&A.

There are also 3 x bonus 60-minute expert Q&As during the course.

If you’re thinking, “I don’t have time for that!” – don’t worry!

Course participants come from various stages of life. Many are still working and potentially raising families. How do they manage? Keep in mind that you have lifetime access, meaning you don’t need to “keep up” with the course. You can progress through the content at your own pace, and all Q&As are recorded, granting you lifelong access to those as well.

Participants engage with the course as their schedules permit, either following along week by week or lagging a few weeks behind. And that’s perfectly fine!

In this course, there’s no such thing as “being behind.” You’re always right where you need to be.

Keep in mind the Live Access stream includes live access to the Q&A calls (so you can ask questions) plus you can ask questions in advance via a form and get the answers in the recording. The Self Study stream includes just the recording (you’ll receive it the day after the call). So you can pick the stream that’s right for you.

Life can be hectic, and I know that many course participants have busy schedules.

Keep in mind that there are two ways to sign up for the Move to Spain Masterlcass. The Live Access stream or the Self Study stream. Read about the differences above in the question above “What’s the difference between the Live Access and Self Study streams?”

But remember even if you join the Live Access stream, you don’t have to be “live” on the Zoom call to ask the experts questions. You can post your questions in advance and James will make sure they’re answered. Read the FAQ questions about the different between the streams above to understand more fully the difference.

Here’s what you’ll gain when you join us today:

In a nutshell: By the end of the 8 weeks, you’ll be armed with the knowledge, support, and roadmap to successfully move and begin living your dream life in Spain.

**1% of the sales from this course will be donated to Amigos de la Tierra, a Spanish NGO dedicated to combating climate change and promoting climate justiceL

The course begins on 16 February 2024.

New modules are released every Friday after that.

Most Thursdays and some Tuesdays James hosts a Q&A call with an expert or a Zoom Hangout where you can connect with other course participants (for those in the Live Access stream).

All Zoom calls are held at 6 pm Madrid time.

There may be minor adjustments to this schedule, depending on expert availability, but I’ll keep you informed of any changes once you’re signed up.

The course will concludes on 12 April 2024.

Absolutely! If you have multiple family members moving to Spain with you, your login grants access to the entire household.

While it would be relatively easy to share logins with friends or others who aren’t in your household, I do ask that you refrain from doing this.

I’ve put a lot of work into building this course, and I ask that each household only share the login within that household.

Sure, an immigration lawyer can help with the legal stuff, but our course goes way beyond that. We dive deep into all the essentials for a smooth move to Spain.

You’ll learn about:

  • Identifying your ideal life in Spain, and what it will cost
  • Shortlisting your top picks for where to live (and comparing them).
  • Immigration (visas and residencies)
  • Buying and renting a home
  • Tax, finances, and banking
  • Public and private healthcare
  • The nitty-gritty of moving (shipping, schools, moving with pets, legal steps to take when you arrive)
  • Living it up in Spain (adapting to the culture, making friends, learning the language and more).

No single professional can cover all these bases.

By taking the course, you’ll get the lowdown on each topic and have a chance to chat with experts in each field.

Plus, you’ll get my Little Black Book of trusted professionals to make sure you avoid any bad apples.

1. Plan – Vision, Timeline, Budget

2. Location – Where Will You Live?

3. Immigration – Choose the Right Legal Route

4. Property – Renting & Buying

5. Money – Taxes, Banking & Working in Spain

6. Healthcare – Covered & Confident

7. Arrive – Get Here & Get Set Up

8. Thrive – Live Like a Local in Spain

Absolutely!

As an EU citizen (or family member of one), this course is perfect for you. Sure, you won’t face the same visa hurdles as non-EU folks, but there are still immigration steps that you have to take in moving to Spain that we’ll cover.

And remember, immigration is just one aspect of the course.

All the other modules and topics (like budgeting, renting & buying, taxes, health insurance, and setting up your new life) apply to you just the same.

Please note that if you’re purchasing from within the EU, I do need to charge an additional 21% Spanish VAT on top of the course price. How this works is that you’ll make payment for the course price and secure your spot. I’ll then get in touch to send you an invoice for the additional VAT amount.

You bet!

While you’re taking the course, you’ll have Monday-Friday email support from James Blick and his team.

Please note that James isn’t able to provide 1:1 in-depth support about your specific move, but he will provide general guidance and connect you with the right experts where appropriate.

Plus, James hosts all the live Zoom sessions, so is there to support throughout the course.

Throughout the course, we’ve got Q&As lined up with various professionals covering the key areas of your move (immigration, tax, healthcare, buying/renting, and more).

How does it work in practice?

For example, Module 3 is all about immigration (visas, residencies, citizenship, etc.). The same week you dive into those videos, we’ll have a Q&A Zoom call with a top immigration expert.

For those in the Live Access stream, you can ask this expert anything you want about the different visas and different legal routes to moving to Spain (either on the call, or by submitting your questions in advance). For those in the Self Study stream, you’ll have access to the recording of the call the following day so you can see what questions others aspects (and also see if the immigration expert might be someone you’d like to help you on your journey).

Specifically, the course includes a 60-minute Q&A call with:

  • Three real estate property buyers who will help you understand the different regions you can move to
  • An immigration expert who will help you understand all the immigration aspects of moving to Spain
  • A real estate buyer’s agent who will help you understand the ins and outs of buying and renting in Spain
  • A tax attorney who will help you understand the tax implications of moving to Spain
  • An insurance broker who will help you understand how healthcare and health insurance work in Spain (as well as other types of insurance).
  • A relocation agent who will help you understand the processes you have to take care of once you arrive in Spain.

We’ve also got three bonus Q&A Zoom sessions:

  • Two financial experts whose advice could prove critical to your move. A currency exchange expert will answer questions about moving money to Spain and a financial planning expert will answer questions about how expats need to prepare their finances for such a move.
  • My Spanish tutor, who’ll give you the inside scoop on getting your Spanish ready for Spain.
  • A highly-experienced pet relocation specialist, who’ll answer all your questions about bringing your furry friends to Spain (it can be a very tricky!).

On top of that, you’ll get access to my Little Black Book of vetted ‘Move to Spain’ professionals. This includes the experts from the Q&As and others, covering areas like:

  • Real estate agents
  • Legal services
  • Financial/tax advisors
  • Insurance agents
  • Relocation agents
  • Mortgage brokers
  • Shipping companies
  • Currency exchange
  • Pet relocation
  • Spanish tutors

Just email me and me or I’ll issue a refund NO QUESTIONS ASKED. I’m happy to provide this given how confident I am that this course will truly help you make your ideal life in Spain a reality.

Yes. To ensure I can give an excellent experience to everyone, there are very limited spots in each stream.

Think of one spot as one household (not one person). One you sign up, the others in your household who are moving with you can access the course.

Craving a life change: You could be seeking a new remote work location, a family shift, or the perfect retirement spot. I find people are looking for a transformative experience in their lives.

02

Seeking a slower pace: If you’re tired of the constant hustle, Spain offers a more fulfilling, relaxed lifestyle that values family, friends, and community above the grind.

Grab your spot before the course sells out

I remember when I was putting together the Move to Spain Masterclass..

I spoke to a man who had always dreamed of moving to Spain, specifically to a small whitewashed town in Murcia called Mojácar.

But, he said, life had always gotten in the way, and he’d kept putting the move off.
It was now too late. He had some health issues, and a big move simply wasn’t possible anymore.

That conversation really touched me. I felt for this man and his unrealized dream.
Sure, he was happy in his life and at peace with not having made the move.

But I couldn’t help but wonder what life might have been like for him if he had made the move.

I know it sounds cheesy, but I realized that my motivation for offering the Move to Spain Masterclass isn’t just about helping people with the logistics of moving.

It’s also about giving people a first tangible step towards realizing a long-held dream.

Sometimes, you don’t know where to start when it comes to turning a dream into reality.

The Move to Spain Masterclass provides that first step. It’s a tangible, concrete action you can take to embark on the path of making or exploring a move to Spain.

This way, you can ensure that your dream has the best chance of becoming your reality.

And let’s be honest, moving to Spain won’t solve all your problems, and life here won’t be perfect all the time.

But when you build a life in Spain, you’ll still face challenges and frustrations. That’s life!

However, as someone who’s lived here since 2011, I can tell you that life in Spain is wonderful.

Incredible food, warm and open people, history all around, and Europe at your doorstep – it’s all here. I’m excited about the future for me and my family.

People sometimes ask me if I’d ever move back to NZ.

Not in a heartbeat.

Yes, I love New Zealand and miss my family there.

But this is my chosen life, and I wouldn’t change it for anything.

I feel incredibly grateful for the life that Spain offers me and my family.

So, if any of this resonates with you, I hope you’ll join me in the Move to Spain Masterclass.

James

Spain is waiting for you...
